Figuring this thing out and American Idol results

First of all: 1st!

Only testing waters here for now. Not sure if blogging and I will 'click' together.
Last summer I finally scrapped both myspace and livejournal. Too perfunctory, too demanding.
So far I've rather enjoyed twitter and facebook.  Keeping a low profile (i.e. steering clear of address book imports) seems to be key.

On to Idol.

Vaya con Dios, Thia Megia and Naima Adedapo. They both had considerable potential, in my view, the former a little more so...But ultimately it was their shortcomings that lead to tonight's dismissal.

As a performer, Adedapo, well-versed in a number of dance styles, always appeared energetic and natural - overuse of the "stink face" notwithstanding,  Her arrangements were most arbitrary too. I, for one, did not hate the raggae spin on Elton John's "I'm still standing."  My only qualm was with the instrumentation, which, particularly in 2nd hald, became a bit too cookie-cutter or cruise ship quality, to use a Simon Cowell analogy.

Vocally, her placement was colapsed in the throat, resulting singing flat. The Jamaican accent actually helped bring her voice forward, adding some color to her tone, and even the intonation issues became less intrusive.

I will get to Mme. Megia after a lengthy dinner interval.
